Astra Lux Chauffeur Independent Contractor Pay Terms & Compensation Policy

1. Independent Contractor Status
All chauffeurs engaged by Astra Lux LLC (“Astra Lux”) provide services strictly as independent contractors under IRS Form 1099. This policy does not create an employer–employee relationship. Contractors are solely responsible for:

Federal, state, and local taxes,
Maintaining all legally required permits and licenses, and
Maintaining commercial insurance as required by Texas law and city ordinances.
 
2. Compensation Structure
Chauffeurs engaged by Astra Lux are compensated based on the type of service performed. All client bookings are prepaid through Astra Lux, and the final payout amount for each ride is confirmed by the Dispatcher before the chauffeur accepts the assignment.

A. Airport Transfers
Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW): $55 – $65 per trip
Dallas Love Field Airport (DAL): $45 – $55 per trip
JSX Private Terminal (DAL Love Field): $55 – $65 per trip
B. Hourly Bookings
Standard Black SUV: $45 – $55 per hour (2-hour minimum)
Premium Black SUV (Escalade or similar): $65 – $75 per hour (2-hour minimum)
C. In-City Rides
Local trips within Dallas and surrounding service areas are calculated individually.
Compensation depends on mileage, time of day, and service tier.
The Dispatcher communicates the final payout before the chauffeur confirms the ride.
D. City-to-City Transfers
Compensation is based on flat-rate mileage brackets (e.g., Dallas–Austin, Dallas–Houston, Dallas–San Antonio).
The Dispatcher will confirm the payout before assignment acceptance.
E. Group & Specialty Rides (Sprinters / Large Vehicles)
Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans and similar multi-passenger vehicles are assigned at premium group rates.
Compensation is determined by booking type (hourly, point-to-point, or event-based) and communicated in advance by the Dispatcher.
 
Key Compensation Principles
Prepaid Model: All rides are prepaid by clients. Chauffeurs do not collect payments directly.
Dispatcher Confirmation: The Dispatcher provides the final payout amount for every assignment before the chauffeur accepts.
Transparency: Standard ranges are published for reference, but surcharges may apply for VIP services, peak hours, or holidays.
 
3. Payment Terms
Frequency: Weekly payouts, covering Monday–Sunday completed rides.
Method: Direct deposit or other approved electronic transfer.
Adjustments: Holiday, VIP, and specialty service rates may increase pay, confirmed in advance.
 
4. Job Assignment & Group Access
Assignments are distributed via the Astra Lux Chauffeur Network – Official Group (until transition to the driver app).
Only chauffeurs who accept these Terms and complete onboarding requirements are added to the Group and eligible for work.
Jobs are awarded on a first-confirmed basis (✅).
Confirmed jobs are binding unless an emergency arises.
 
5. Standards & Compliance
Chauffeurs must maintain valid licenses, permits, and commercial insurance.
Astra Lux may withhold payment for rides performed without compliance.
Breach of professional standards (uniform, conduct, client privacy, vehicle quality) may result in immediate removal from the network.
 
6. Dispute Resolution
Payment disputes must be submitted in writing within 7 business days of payment.
Astra Lux will review and respond within 14 business days.
This policy is governed by Texas law, Dallas County jurisdiction.
 
7. How to Accept & Join the Official Group
If you would like to work with Astra Lux as an independent contractor:

Review and accept these Pay Terms & Conditions.
Call +1 (214) 885-9850 to confirm your acceptance and complete onboarding.
Once verified, you will be added to the Astra Lux Chauffeur Network – Official Group for work distribution.
 
8. Acknowledgment
By accepting and completing assignments, each chauffeur acknowledges:

They are an independent contractor, not an employee.
They accept the Compensation Policy above.
They are responsible for their own taxes, permits, and compliance.
They understand acceptance of these Terms is required for inclusion in the Astra Lux Chauffeur Network Group and access to assignments.
